I’ve been on several juries. Some people just want to vote and get out of there. I insist on going through the evidence. On other juries the jutoros go on and on and on and talk about their pets and god knows what and don’t want to be judgmental - then opt for a harsh sentence.

Really? That is wholly allowed here. When the judge releadeas the jurors, he/she says in essence “You’re free to discuss the case now. You may also talk to the attorneys if you would like. However, if either atty harasses you, report it to the court.”

Yes, & usually it means immed after tr We also have cases that say you cannot disturb the jurors in repose after their service is up. In this instance it was organized, assembled in a group and ex parte.

I see. That has the appearance of impropriety, though it would be allowed here. I notice that if I’m talking to two or three jurors, more will come up and join. In the 11-1 hang, the jurors were so sweet and apologetic.

Understood. But here, the pros wrote a ltr of invitation, on his letterhead, and invited them to pros office in county to which tr was venued.

I’ve had defendants’ families come up to me and say that if they were ever the victim of a crime that they would want me prosecuting because I was a hard ass. I was called so many names & threatened...for doing my job.
