That’s kinda long considering what a slam dunk the case was.

I’ve been on several juries. Some people just want to vote and get out of there. I insist on going through the evidence. On other juries the jutoros go on and on and on and talk about their pets and god knows what and don’t want to be judgmental - then opt for a harsh sentence.

Funny anecdote, I have a friend who was on one of my juries. We didn’t know each other before the trial. We saw each other at a bar & I said, excuse me, but you look so familiar. She said, I know why you know me. She had already noticed me. Once she told me why I recognized her,

I about died. I asked her a bunch of questions about deliberations and what jurors thought of the defense atty because he did something positively bizarre during closing argument.

I will never forget it either. It was so funny that I had to look down and shield my face so the jury could not see me laugh. I wanted to howl.

The funniest thing I saw was a 10 year old boy who was a witness and on cross by the defense atty who had to be kind. Did the police ask about other kids going in there? Yes. Do you know why they asked that? Yes. Why did they ask? They wanted to know. We had to bite our lips.

That kid is literal. Cute.
