I got my port removed today! 2 years & 3 months ago I went to hospital for food poisoning and ended up with a stage 4 cancer diagnosis at the ripe old age of 24. Now, I'm healthy enough to get the port out. I've never shared before, but today felt like it should be celebrated 
Life is full of small pleasures. I was misdiagnosed w/MS. I won't give the details, other than to say that transition from paralyzed from the waist down to walking half-marathons was filled with baby steps. Congratulations!
