I visited the nuns there at Terre Haute. They have a great old story about this nun in 1840 or so, came out and got kidnapped in the woods by a priest! Racy! The all-nuns convent there has always been feminist. They'd sneak and say mass, etc.
I live in Indiana (have I previously mentioned that?). I was surprised this wknd by people w/whom I spoke in Terre Haute who probably wouldn't describe themselves "progressive" but were concerned about where find ourselves. Civil discourse is critical Plus? We have to vote blue.
