College would not be "free" - our society should pay for education as we pay for any other important aspect of infrastructure. NO advanced country puts young people in such heavy debt for educatiion. Plus? Ignorance is far more expensive.
Taxpayers are already paying for education so not make it more effective and revamp curriculum so more members of society emerge with skills employers want rather than reserve that option for the well-to-do? It will get more people jobs and more people off welfare down the road.
