With all due respect, the last of the Dixiecrats are getting up in years, many pass away every year.

I don’t know if they were 18 in 1968 they would only be 70 now. Thanks to that socialized medicine they hate they’lll probably live another 10-15 yrs

Where does Bevins stand on progressive policy that polls throughout the party and across party lines?

Bevin may be the worst Gov we have ever had.

With all due respect, maybe don’t try to paint Kentucky Democrats with an old tired brush. It’s hard enough to keep up the good fight here in Kentucky without national support. I am not an old Dixiecrat and I vote for Kentucky Democrats every election we have in Kentucky.

The youngest "Dixiecrats" alive today are around 72 years old. Kentucky never had that many of them either, as George Wallace only got 18-19% in 1968. Kentucky wasn't Alabama.

Also worth remembering R's ended nearly a century of D control in the state house in 2016, and for the first time ever got control of the full legislature. KY has yet to become hard red at the state level (though it will soon enough).
