I gave up on Apple precisely because of the new keyboards. They’ll never get thicker again. So the wife got the MPB 15” (the last of the non-shitty keyboards), and I switched to Surfaces, which have excellent keyboards. A laptop that can’t be used for hard typing is not “pro”.

I, personally, love the new keyboards on the new MacBooks and MacBook Pros. I owned the 2016 Pro but downgraded to the 12” MacBook for size and weight. Love em. But glad you were able to get what you wanted. Choice is good with tech!
