Unfortunately the fix needs about 88 extra bytes, so there is no way it will fit into the original #bbcmicro version of Elite. However, I should be able to add it to the original version when running on the BBC Master, so black-and-white space fans shouldn't be left behind.

Finally, the screenshot from the back of the original Firebird box. It's a bit quiet compared to the BBC Micro box shot, and apparently the police scan doesn't find anything interesting… though I bet the smugglers weren’t quite so relaxed. 4/4

Next, the first screenshot from the manual, in which a Cobra Mk III turns away from a clandestine meeting by the sun and heads for the shipping lanes. I wonder what shady business went down here? 3/4

First up, the Commodore 64 ship identification chart - or part of it, anyway. The C64 supports eight ships plus the station and planet, so this is busy (and rather slow) stuff! 2/4

For comparison, here's the exact same universe file loaded into the Universe Editor on a BBC Micro with a 6502 Second Processor. This is not a fair comparison, as the 6502SP has a 3MHz CPU, while the C64 is 1MHz, but it's great to see file-sharing working between the platforms.
