This has got to be the best trailer Sega has ever produced, and one of the best of the year imo (w tip o' the hat to the Bastion 1.0 trailer). Nails all different aspects / appeals (to both fans & newcomers), but still super cohesive -- difficult feat but feels effortless. Bravo.

Yep, "producer" in Japan is usually the most influential / central role on a project, a mix of "Executive Producer," "Creative Director" and "Director" in the Western sense. At some big co's & big franchises they even have unilateral say on what games get made for what platforms.

Been working in Japan for a couple years and am still re-calibrating my brain when it comes to names of various roles and their responsibilities. Every time I hear someone referred to as a "producer" I need to remember that those jobs are super different here compared to overseas

3hrs in, I'm pretty sure Resident Evil 7 -- playing alone at night w headphones & VR ONLY (that is key) is one of my favorite games. Ever.
Always love these little staff-created cards highlighting movies, books, music, etc. in Japanese retail. Pretty common sight (even in chain stores)
WOW. Almost 2.5 years later we have our first 23-line Zone clear in Tetris Effect, and of course it's Kirby who pulled it off! In awe at skill, dedication, patience (& luck!) on display here; hopefully someone will do an in-depth breakdown of just how crazy this is. Bravo Kirby!

Elites can have whatever tastes they want and there's no reason they ought to conform to mainstream culture. But I do think a lot of elites would fail a pop quiz on how the median American thinks and behaves, and that probably makes them a less effective advocate for their views.

I am annoyed by bad translations so here is mine. SQEX didn’t tell them to shrink her boobs, they asked that they didn’t use a clothing design that made them flop all over during action sequences to the point of being unnatural, considering she is an active/sporty type.
