Thanks for these, Mark, I didn’t work at Thames (sadly) but even all these years on it still makes me feel sad and rather emotional (not just New Year’s tipples!) to see the dedicated team signing-off. Thames really did have a talent for television.

Thanks for sharing Mark. The irony is Thames made one of the most popular programmes shown over the recent weekend - while Carlton has gone. Says it all.

What a wonderful video Mark. Hard to believe it’s 25 years since Thames, TVS and TSW disappeared. Happy New Year to you. Hope you are well and thriving! :)

Absolutely fascinating to see this footage. A true watershed moment in broadcasting history - and A Talent for Television which still flourishes beyond the franchise years. Happy New Year, Mark - and thank you.

My pleasure Gareth. Couldn’t really let the 25th go bye unmarked, although I’ve often watched the footage over the past years and found it very emotional.

Thank you Mark for this wonderful piece of history - noticed that Roger was keeping UK Gold on the air that fateful night too! Loved the 'fade to black Roger!' Bit as well as take it LNN was opting out of Thames TX of Big Ben?

Sadly yes. The atmosphere as you can imagine that night at Thames was full of mixed emotions especially as for so many it was the end of an era and their careers.
