Hot take: I don't have a problem with any of the Linux Foundation compensation numbers I've seen. They do not seem wildly disproportionate for people leading an organization with $60+MM in revenue. If anything they seem comparatively modest.

Even if the only thing they did was fundraise the 15-20% of payroll expenses that they represent would be a bargain. Plot twist: They do considerably more than that.

If you have a problem with the outcomes the foundation is delivering, or the existence of foundations in open source, that's fair enough. But pretending that the compensation of the Linux Foundation's leadership is somehow shameful is nonsense.
