While I can't speak for the entire r/Apple mod team I can say that we have voted to stay closed indefinitely due to Reddit's CEO's poor decision-making. twitter.com/verge/status/1…

I would bet that Apple eventually changes the Vision Pro’s top button away from being a camera shutter (completely absurd feature) to something more like the Apple Watch Ultra Action Button (user customizable) or to launch FaceTime. Like the many Watch side button changes.

Those who expected major changes to the Dynamic Island in iOS 17 were spot on: The alarm clock now is in the island instead of a normal notification banner.

The Apple Vision Pro has an additional strap that goes *over* your head (because of weight). It wasn’t discussed, those in the hands on demos had it, but no pictures were allowed. The Good Morning America video didn’t show it either. But one brief scene in the keynote had it.

I would guess that the Zeiss prescription lenses for the Vision Pro will be at least $300-600 a pair, unless Apple is eating part of the cost given the already high price of the headset itself.

It’s interesting that the Vision Pro will be launching in the same general period as the M3 chip, but will have an M2 chip on-board. This is obviously because of the delay — but I wonder why they are marketing it as M2 versus a entire new chip (with M2 specs) to avoid that issue.

I also wonder how Apple landed on 2 hours of battery life and this battery puck size. I wonder if there are diminishing returns at a certain amount of battery capacity - or if Apple will offer a double sized pack for more hours.

I’m not saying the Vision Pro will follow the same trajectory, but the Apple Watch was announced as going on sale in “early 2015” and didn’t arrive until the end of April.

xrOS remains the internal development name and references to the name are present throughout the WWDC materials.

For sure a calculated move. There is no reason other than meme control for Tim Cook to be standing next to the biggest product of his tenure rather than wearing. In fact, it just looks strange to not be wearing it.

Unless I missed something, it is very curious to me why there are no photos of Tim Cook or other Apple executives actually wearing the Vision Pro. If that is indeed true, that was of course a calculated decision. The question is why?
