Apple says the issue with WordPress has been resolved now that WP is removing in app references to buying WordPress.com plans.

For some context: WordPress did not offer a way to purchase WordPress.com plans in its app, they only advertised their plans. Apple wanted WP to add a way to buy plans in the app through IAP, giving Apple 30%. Of course, that’s not a good look amid the Epic Games suit.

To clarify: Apple says WordPress did submit an app update that did let customers buy upgrade plans via the app, but not through in-app-purchase. It doesn’t appear this was ever on the App Store though.

Which is what they should do. They shouldn’t use the app to sell unless they plan on sharing the take with Apple.
The user workaround is to use a browser to visit WordPress dot com. That’s how I buy kindle ebooks from my iPad (obviously on Amazon dot com).

Yet again a nothing story some are making into a big deal. Like all stores they take a cut of whats being sold. I wonder if Tide setup a shop outside of walmart how that would work out?

Apple needs to learn to do what's right, like so many other companies. There is no reason for them to get a cut of purchases unless they facilitate the purchase themselves, which is a service they should offer... But if a developer wants to build their own backend, let them.

I have only one question... Why are people still supporting apple? Are they that blind and dumb? I guess sheeps just being sheeps.
