    Genius. My take... Delay validity for SSL certs. 3 day waiting period, notifications can go out to appropriate contacts, like ssladmin@domain.com . Getting a DNS entry as "vetting" is a very low bar.

    Fox-IT hackers capture DNS, obtain a cert, and MITM connections. See timeline. Wonder if delaying cert validity would help here.
