The market believes that #Adobe overpaid for its $20 billion cash and stock deal for Figma. I get that. Three trading days later, Adobe stock has shed $35 billion in market cap. Make it make sense -- or cents -- for that matter. $ADBE

It all goes downstairs from there. You leave the film having second thoughts about your next Airbnb rental -- or third thoughts about renting out your property. Even the title seems like a dig on #Airbnb. Barbarian? Take out the "ara" and jumble the letters. See? 3/3

"Barbarian" was the top draw at the multiplex over the weekend. Creepy good horror flick. First-time director has a bright future. It starts with a double-booking. Two people show up to the same rental. One booked HomeAway. The protagonist booked Airbnb. 2/3

Resign has to be one of the more perplexing words. You're leaving? You're staying? It's the "Aloha" of the English language.

Living below your means is typically framed as an incentive to spend responsibly, but don't overlook that the approach should also inspire you to explore ways to boost your means.

Opening in the first three months of 2023 makes perfect strategic sense, and it will still be three major Disney World ride additions -- Ratatouille, Guardians, and Tron -- since the last new ride at rival Universal Orlando. $DIS $CMCSA #TRON

Our best guess for when Disney will open TRON Lightcycle / Run at the Magic Kingdom. Based on what's left to do & opening timelines of recent WDW rides. touringplans.com/blog/our-best-

Maybe the reason why the pandemic feels as if it has taken so long is all of the times that we were singing "Happy Birthday" to ourselves as we were washing our hands.

I dreamt that I was at a Cathie Wood party and the spread was nothing but hummus, salsa, guac, and queso -- because she only buys the dips.

From Disney's call: 2 of the 3 theme park milestones that Chapek is proud of happening during fiscal Q3 (Disney Wish maiden voyage and the opening of Marvel Avengers Campus at Disneyland Paris) actually happened in fiscal Q4 (July). $DIS

The thing about selling $6.9 billion of Tesla stock is that you just know he could've unloaded $6.7 billion or maybe $6.8 billion -- but that would've been off brand. $TSLA

This could also explain why Elon Musk keeps having all of those babies.

Our new safety test of @ElonMusk’s Full Self-Driving Teslas discovered that they will indiscriminately mow down children. Today @RealDawnProject launches a nationwide TV ad campaign demanding @NHTSAgov ban Full Self-Driving until @ElonMusk proves it won’t mow down children.

$AMC report was solid and roughly in line with expectations, but one downer -- and you'll have to look up Q2 2021 to find it -- is that food & beverage revenue per U.S. patron slipped from $7.91 last year to $7.52 this time around.

I've been a part of some great market-thumping Motley Fool newsletter services over the years, but I'm 2 months into a 10x premium service that bears my name and my picks. I'm holding up nicely against a flattish market since the late May launch. I'm up 14% vs. 1% for the S&P.

Lost in the Walmart gloom and doom is that it's the bottom line getting pinched with inflationary pressures and the shift to higher-price low-margin groceries. U.S. comps will be up 6% for the current quarter (vs. 4% to 5% previously expected). #Walmart $WMT

The fact that it's okay to body shame Elon Musk just because he's the richest cat on the planet is a slippery slope.

Throw in the fact that AMC is gaining market share -- and that consolidated food and beverage revenue per customer is 40% higher than it was in 2019 -- and that 31% year-to-date box office decline point is weak sauce as a distraction. $AMC 4/4

Is the back half of the quarter dry? Yes. It's usually that way. Big movies come out in June and July, not August and September when folks are returning to school. In 2019, just 2 of the 28 biggest movies opened in August or September. 3/4

U.S. box office IS down 31% year-to-date, but Hollywood was still release-shy earlier this year. Quarter-to-date -- and granted we're just two weeks in -- we're up 8% compared to 2019. This is actually the best two week-start since 2016. 2/4
