I gather the forum announced by @BorisJohnson to mark NI's centenary had its first meeting this afternoon via Zoom. It included a range of community representatives but the political participants were from the DUP, UUP and Alliance - no nationalists sat in on the session 1/2

Nationalism shouldnt make the same mistakes it did in 1928 and 1932 by staying away from events which are important to many people in this place

I’d be interested to know who told these officials that nationalist parties want to play a role in marking the anniversary.

Who employed these dopey NIO officials who believe that Nats/Reps want to celebrate the 100th anniversary of this excuse for a state?

I thought Alliance didn’t support ‘divisive and contentious’ things. Eg . Irish language. But partition. , sure !!

Mark. No one who call themselves Nationalist or Republican can 'celebrate' 100 years of Northern Ireland. The so called impartial British Government should also officially acknowledge 100 years of Partition.
