        gaslighting old cow as a child we crossed the Buncrana road border in Derry brits first and the customs next . we did get asked if we had anything to declare now she says it did not happen she is lying

        No hard border and an ineffective hard border are two different things. It was a ridiculous, disrespectful statement and she knows it. How many died protecting both side of the non existent hard border?

        But it wasn’t just “security”, was it? For example, traversing the border on holiday with a caravan or any other trailer required a stop in - e.g. Lifford - for Irish Customs to clear the trailer. Same thing happened with NI Customs on the way back.

        Caught out again & imagine she grew up beside the border, maybe her rose tinted glasses didn't see army checkpoints for all those years!The Good Friday Agreement that she so strongly opposed done away with those borders & now here she is opposing Brexit that will see them return

        Soldiers with automatic rifles on the border - hard to imagine how much ‘harder’ it could have been. And what an insult to people like Mary Doherty and Aidan McAnespie, shot by British soldiers on the hard border that @DUPleader says didn’t exist.
