    In 4 hours, I saw no one attempt to stop any of the rioting - some directed by men in balaclavas. If paramilitaries didn't organise this, as they claim, that suggests they either didn’t want to stop it, or were impotent even in the heart of their territory.

    The death of Prince Philip is likely to be far more significant in curtailing violence on Northern Ireland's streets than all the many words of condemnation from NI's politicians & others. For loyalists to attack police in these circumstances would be especially crass.
