Name one organized group of ISIS extremists that have attacked people in Canada. They've all been lone wolf attacks. And male genital mutilation is a bigger problem that most think. The scheer number of accidents causing lifelong issues with a circumcision has been hidden.

ISIS is the organized group. The attackers were all trained by them and then snuck into Canada to commit attacks. How do you see them as "lone wolf" attacks? I agree MGM is a problem. I didn't mutilate any of my kids. But it isn't as big a problem as FGM. Cut men still function.
-
Those people in Canada were not organized. They were all lone wolf attacks. If that's your litmus test, then right wingers are a bigger issue... remember that guy in Montreal shooting up a mosque? Those young folks wanting to blow up a mall in the east?
-
And FGM is extremely rare to happen in Canada. It happens outside of Canada... medical tourism. And it's not solely the Islamic community. Many African christians preform FGM as well.
-
The important thing to realize about FGM is it comes in all kinds of different forms: http://www.who.int/reproductivehealth/topics/fgm/overview/en/ … I'd never try to say a male circumcision compares to Type III (infibulation). But Type Ia is analogous, and Type IV (pricking, piercing) is generally less invasive.
-
Stop calling it FGM. Call it female circumcision. 1) That's what circumcised women call it. 2) "FGM" indicates it's different from male circumcision when in fact it isn't.
-
Female genital mutilation is barbaric, and anyone who practices it or condones it has no place in Canada.
-
I agree, forcing unconsented unnecessary irreversible amputation on a child is absolutely unconscionable. http://journalofethics.ama-assn.org/2017/08/msoc2-1708.html … The physical damage varies from cut to cut, and the anatomy varies between sexes, but the basic ethical principle is the same: Bodily autonomy.
-
They actually no longer recommend this at all in Canada anymore due to complications and that one case several years back where a boy died due to bleeding out overnight. It's all barbaric and we shouldn't allow this at all, especially for "religious" reasons.
