Stealing from an individual and stealing from a national corporation are actually different. You can argue both are bad, but one has much more impact and is far more devastating.

So i can steal from people who have more money than me because it impacts them less?

If only there was some sort of objective link between crime and poverty, maybe there would be tangible solutions to prevent these occurrences long before they happen... oh well. Let's keep doing the ineffective policing and outrage we've always done.

No i realize that poor people are more likely to commit crimes, but that doesn’t explain why you’re justifying it. Crime will never get you out of a bad situation, it just makes everything worse for EVERYONE involved

Nobody in this thread is justifying it. The damage from this crime is minimal, and it could've been prevented by a better system that got this person the help that they need.

That’s the problem. Damage isn’t minimal when everyone is doing it.. what help do you refer to? Most people on the streets really don’t want help. It’s hard to get clean.. it’s easy to get high.

Clearly, not everybody is doing it, and a fallacious argument isn't going to change that. Do you have evidence that "people on the streets don't want help"? Ever talked to some of them? I've volunteered to give them help, and nobody *likes* living that way.

Obviously not “everybody,” but clearly there is a problem.https://www.google.com/amp/s/abc7news.com/amp/walgreens-san-francisco-sf-robbery-hayes-valley/10794886/ …

As for your second comment: I’d say I’m pretty well informed on this population (won’t get into specifics). Housing requires responsibility and setting boundaries. many people don’t want this. Choice is Drugs or housing and often times people pick drugs.
