To most ppl obsessed by GDP as the only measure of human progress, climate change is an opportunity, or at worst a hiccup in business as usual. I fear many view e.g. coral reefs, as acceptable collateral damage

How is it that people who want to base all decisions on economic models are the same ones who question climate science because "it's all based on models" (it isn't)? Economic models are based on uncertain predictions of future human behavior. Climate models are based on physics.

economists (and their models) are BS in exactly the same way climate scientists (and their models) are BS. They have zero predictive value, and consist almost entirely of untestable and certainly flawed assumptions.
