The conventional definition of terrorism is the use of violence by non-State actors in pursuit of political aims, while these attacks are carried out by individuals unaffiliated with each other or any official group. But if the attacks form a trend, the argument has some merit.

Canada has seen several mass murder events motivated by a hatred of women and feminism, with Marc Lepine killing 14 women in 1989. Other examples are given here:https://twitter.com/AmyfStuart/status/988906296098291714 …

Norway's own Anders Breivik may have attacked a Labor Party youth camp, but his white supremacist manifesto was virulently anti-feminist, as well as anti-Islam. "Feminazi" was one of his favorite terms.http://www.wehuntedthemammoth.com/2011/07/28/peter-nolan-anders-breivik/ …

Without ties to an established ideology or political movement (which misogyny / MRA / Red Pill are not currently considered to be), it's problematic to label these attacks terrorist. And that's even before you factor in any attacker's potential mental health issues.

Terrorism or not, the hate is real and the body count is climbing. Ideas expressed by Red Pill and incel devotees are as vile as those of White Supremacists, and their fantasies just as violent. See

If you want to know how deep this pit of toxic masculinity self-pitying goes, take a look at
@DavidFutrelle's blog We Hunted The Mammoth, in which he valiantly documents the madness. Just remember: Self-care is... well, self-care.http://www.wehuntedthemammoth.com/Show this thread

I think threatened masculinity plays a part in many acts of terrorism, even ones that claim other motivations.

I think that's an excellent observation. Several of the ISIS attacks in Europe and the US have involved individuals with a history of partner violence. Terrorism at its core arguably has a narcissistic "share my pain" aspect.

It seems all of a kind to me. Terrorizing people for making their own decisions, whether it's religious practice, culture habits, or personal life choices.

This really has to be treated as terrorism going forward. I want to ask when did these “men” get to thinking they’re entitled to anything from anyone else from the shock to that level of entitlement. Sadly, I think its taught from birth. This has to change, now!
