By the way, since this is a non-profit fangame there's no payment involved. It's already said in the form, but I want to make that extra clear before anyone gets their hopes up. If we tried to make money in any way Nintendo would shut us down instantly so... yeah.

We will close the form on 21st and will probably make a decision then. We actually held a similar form before but back then we had a very limited timeframe and eventually decided not to rush things and choose anyone. Hopefully, things will be different this time. :)

The answer is that we aren't making it for Nintendo, we are making it for ourselves. We just like the Mario franchise, and want to show our appreciation to it, while giving our own spin to its formula. It's not much different than drawing fan art really.

By the way, don't go ahead and give this kid attention, that's clearly what they want. If they genuinely thought that we are doing something harmful and didn't want to scare us they wouldn't tweet it at us. I just wanted this thread to be a some sort of disclaimer.
