What are ghost guns? They’re guns sold online in pre-packaged kits that require minimal at home assembly using common tools. No background checks. No safety testing. Just a fully functioning gun able to kill put together in less than an hour. 2/

This means real guns sold online, no questions asked, delivered straight to your door & assembled while watching an instructional YouTube video. These guns can be placed right in the hands of kids. Or people prohibited from owning guns. Without anyone knowing. Yikes. 3/

It’s not surprising then that ghost guns have been linked to mass shootings around the country. After all, these are fully operable weapons that are untraceable and unregulated. The Government can’t track them. 4/

It’s hard to overstate the impact of ghost guns in SF. Last year, ghost guns were involved in almost half of all homicides (up from just 6% in 2019). The number of ghost guns police in SF recovered increased over 2000% in 4 years. Ghost guns went from rare to the norm. 5/

Nope. You just want to posture as anti gun. If this had anything to do with numbers or public safety you would be going after vehicular homicide. That's the normal way to kill or be killed in America. But that would take courage to stand up for the truth. We don't do that in SF.
