This project has been my baby for the last few years. If you have an AADL card, you can stream 400+ albums from local artists and bands! No time like now to explore some new music! And if you're a musician in SE Mich interested in being included, email us at aamps@aadl.org!

...I have so much respect for the Elks and the welcoming/hospitality they’ve shown to their neighborhood, their community, local musicians, and all sorts of folks. Please chip in if you can. They more than deserve a hand ❤️

Just learned about this fire this morning from a friend, which says a lot about how separated everyone is right now. The Elks Lodge is one of my last remaining favorite places in Ann Arbor/my old neighborhood

Again from the top. If you are an ‘idea guy’ and you have marvelous plans that require women to do the ‘legwork’ for you—you’re not a brilliant leader. You are using people because patriarchy lets you. I’d say you know who you are but you usually don’t. And my answer is still no.

having been told that it's rude to call dinner "gross," our 4yo is finding increasingly creative ways to express himself "this tastes.......unlucky to me" "this sends my mouth into outer space. (that's bad)" "cauliflower is"--[pinches fingers together]--"this much delicious"

in all seriousness I think librarians and archivists need to do some guerrilla documenting of this time because so much of it will get erased and forgotten and rewritten

Tomorrow, a lot of people are going to say, "We made it. We survived four years." And it's vitally important to remember that so, so many *didn't* make it. We have to be their voices, and seek justice and accountability for the brutal harms that have been visited upon so many.

I love the people tweeting about things going back to normal after the current president fades away. Let’s not go back to normal. Let’s hold the people we elected accountable to change shit yah? So much is fucked why would we stop here? Why now?

That ceremony was many things, but it was also a reminder that no one needs a one-hour work Zoom call. They fit in J-Lo, Lady Gaga, Garth Brooks plus all the other stuff in 30 minutes. Keep it tight folks.

We made it to the end of that raggedy presidency. More than 400,000 Americans did not, including those executed by the Trump administration for no other reason than their need to be as cruel was possible. I am so happy that it’s over. I am so deeply sad that it ever happened.

I imagine multiple government agencies plugging back in today...like holiday lights being pulled out of basements, untangled, and examined for broken bulbs, or getting an engine in a car that's been garaged for four years to turnover and start.
