I spoke to about the work is doing to deal with gender-based violence & harassment. Harassment is often presented as an occupational hazard, but it's a product of precarious and exploitative working conditions & unions can fight

Siccar Point, the main company behind the Cambo oil field are registered in, you guessed it, a Tax Haven! The North Sea already has an incredibly lax tax regime. But obviously not lax enough for these guys. This is all part of a just transition? Aye, right.

Don't get sick of me, but the only, only option is Degrowth! As this article says, this is being underplayed by the IPCC report - it's our responsibility to join the dots. There is no ecological recovery without reversing GDP increase orthodoxy.

Complying with actions needed for a 1.5 degree world is absolutely less profitable. Rather than trying to convince for-profit organisations otherwise, we should name profit as in direct contradiction to human flourishing and survival.

we can’t wait on politicians to take the action we NEED, and in lieu of that we can’t make protest and lobbying our only action. the time is now to start creating community and mutual aid structures across the *world*, to support others to do the same and to help each other

who are shielding or people who are struggling to leave the house. community care is climate action! - find out where your next protest is - read up on the intersectional green new deal; knowledge is power & knowing about possible solutions makes this all less scary

Some more things you can do *right now*: - donate to orgs that work on the frontline of the climate crisis like - write to your MP - check in with your local community to see if there’s anything you can do to support anyone, whether that’s food deliveries for people

Unsurprised by the findings of the IPCC report, which shows us nothing we didn’t know already. We’re skyrocketing towards hitting 1.5oC by 2030, and the climate crisis is already impacting every region. Politicians must act & we must create community care systems now.
