Chris has now apologised, as he should. Presumably it was just a love of jazz that led him to sign and share a petition defending someone with antisemitic form - apparently without even checking why the Council (a LABOUR Council) took the step of banning him in the first place.

Utterly tragic. The killer gets to tell his version. She can say nothing. Because he killed her. Don’t let him define her. Listen to what her family say about Natalie Connolly - they who knew her, loved her & miss her.

Men who kill wife/girlfriend cannot be allowed to blame her for her own death. “She was asking for it” cannot be defence to murder. No domestic homicide should be downgraded from murder to manslaughter except by decision of Chief Crown Prosecutor.

  8. Appalling that Caffe Nero has not paid a penny in corporation tax for 11 years despite records sales! They should pay their fair share & the Government needs to get a grip!

  9. Have just been informed that Gibraltar is the only British Overseas Territory that will be ready to implement public registers of beneficial ownership by 2021 according to legislation this year. Absolutely shocking.

  10. Two months ago, I wrote to again to raise the case of my constituent - Sarah O’Connor. I asked why her case was not deemed extreme enough but still no response. I am left with no faith in plans to fix Windrush injustices.

  11. This is a cynical and misleading move by who have done the bare minimum to address the Windrush Crisis. There is still no compensation scheme and many people that are due remuneration for their Windrush injustice continue to be ignored.

  15. 70%+ of correspondence this month has been about Brexit - majority worried about no deal or bad deal. Meanwhile Tories play internal party politics.

  17. The delay to the Brexit vote is just another example of a government on the run. This deal is unworkable and so is the whole approach of this Prime Minister.

  18. Lovely afternoon spent with Gascoigne Primary School children . Very moving seeing the poppy banners they have designed representing every man from Barking & Dagenham that died during WWI.

  20. Theresa May is offering us a false choice - her deal or a ‘no deal’ Brexit. The reality is that both would be extremely damaging for the country.
