Thank you. A division between women's rights and human rights is a false dichotomy. One of my sources for #TheHandmaidsTale was Argentina under the Generals. So many women were killed and their babies stolen.

Replying to @MargaretAtwood and @elpais_cultura
This a good article, Margaret. I hope you know that many of us don’t consider you a bad feminist or a traitor.
Those babies, now adults, are still being searched by Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo (127 were found, so far). Those woman are supreme role models.

Stolen babies happened in Spain under Franco as well. Nuns were the perpetrators. Many people in the past 10 years have been reuniting with mothers they never knew.

As usual, everybody should listen to Margaret Atwood. The #HandmaidsTale may be a vision of the future, but it's based on frighteningly real history. To protect human rights, we need to protect women's rights.

I am dismayed that like the kid/hijab lie, probably she afraid of bullying mother, & that a meme without facts is easily promoted result can be destructive when serious violations happen

Really fed up with anti free speech memes too & that girls are primed to be demure, submissive Cinderellas hoping to catch a Disney Prince instead of aiming for competence & leadership - & boys conditioned to behave badly
