one of these is true: -hitters are in fact cashing out on tip-busting (would be a landmark win) -LAD has solved for enough of the pitcher dev stack to shift their focus to this slice of (maybe marginal) gains my bet’s on the latter; both are pioneering; in any case throw gas ⛽️

Kenley throws a cutter almost 80% of the time. The chance that he throws back to back cutters, randomly is ~64% (.8 x .8). He throws a slider and fastball ~10% each. The chance he throws those back to back randomly is ~1%. That adds up to ~65% of the time. He ACTUALLY throws...

Which maybe! Need to dig in more.. Other differences between 23 ST data v *non-reclassified* 2022 data: Sinker use up by 1-2%, CT use down by 1-2% across league Going to be much more accurate when we reclassify everything and then re-run comps but interesting to see early 📈📉
