    Archaeology of past environmental change allows us to ask- what did people living then see? Experience? Where did they go? How did they find & live in new places? And then- it allows us to search for answers.

    Sharing here for the record. We've not yet recognized such urgency in protecting cultural heritage from climate impacts, but am grateful for the rapid defense of heritage in this situation

    Before colonization, fire was managed with cultural burning..which prevented vegetation build-up, germinated seed pods..That changed after 1788..Now Old Gondwana growth is aflame..This is not forest that regenerates; what is being lost will never return.
