There’s an Englishman, Scotsman and an Irish man…It’s not the start of a joke, but a historical moment. The head of the UK, Scotland and Ireland’s government are all of South Asian heritage. Sunak, Yousaf and Varadkar. Huge moment!

Thought experiment: If we sequenced every butterfly species on earth, would we have enough data for a generative ML model for butterfly genomes? What if we sampled 100 individual genomes from every species? What if we sequenced all the other insects too? What would it take?

This is what happens when you bring together two of the worst thinkers on new technologies. Among other shared tendencies, both bloviate free of empirical inquiry.

If you think the most revolutionary forms of innovation have been happening in the past decade, you know nothing about the history of technology.
