His point is that no matter who the GOP nominates, the media trashes. It's gone on for years, well before Trump. You got Trump in no small part because enough of the GOP was fed up with the double standard and didn't care about nominating more choir boys. They went for the win.

was a better candidate and voters overwhelmingly chose him over McCain and Romney, respectively. Fox News smeared Obama, but you aren’t crying about that #bias.
