Everyone telling me how to remove a computer from CrashPlan’s app ON that computer: doesn’t work when you don’t have that computer anymore.

@marcoarment You just have to use the app to remove a computer; doesn’t have to be running on the computer you’re removing.

@marcoarment Worked for me just fine about two weeks ago when I removed two computers I hadn't owned for months.

@marcoarment But now I see your "ON that computer" qualification. Obviously, I didn't have the computers I removed anymore.

@marcoarment same problem here. It's telling me about computers that haven't been used for 8 months…

@marcoarment Carbonite also remembers old computers, and you can’t remove them though the files are removed after 30 days.

@marcoarment Install crashplan on new computer. “Adopt” old computer. Delete computer from account.

@marcoarment Well you really should’ve thought about that before you gave it to @siracusa for review compatibility testing

@marcoarment Reminds me of an iPad I synced with an old computer. Can’t use a new one because I have to disable the sync from iTunes.

@marcoarment I had the exact same issue. Resorted to creating a GMail filter for the you-need-to-backup emails. Their support was useless.
