EXACTLY what I thought when I first saw it. physical buttons are more intuitive because you don't have to look @Taylor_M_Allen

Nonono – i'm only talking about the ones you DON'T want to look at.
@marcoarment -
there’s nothing in the function row that I would ever be hoping to hit accurately without looking. I like 90% of world don’t Esc
-
i use all of them. And remember when the function keys had spaces between blocks? You could feel them.
-
-
-
I have it setup to show “sleep, lock, screensaver, do not disturb” buttons, so its super convenient when I leave my desk etc.
-
I like this too, but I have brushed my sleep button once or twice on accident when typing

-
haha! I have them in the unfolded menu, so they show up when I press the ‘fn’ key. Folded menu has KB lang shortcut eng/jp!
-
ooo, good idea!
-
-
like everything else Mac, this thing lacks scale and also lacks customize / hack potential. Coming at users from both sides
-
wondering if the crappy battery life has something to do with the touch bar
-
accidental input has been my biggest grip. I am thinking of buying a small Bluetooth keyboard to use when I'm not at my desk.
-
.
@marcoarment@Taylor_M_Allen I’m not a heavy ESC key user. I prefer sliders for vol/brightness. keybrd hilite in preview, touchID r nice -
just to be a positive data point, I adjust all four of those routinely without looking. And for accidental input, very rare.
-
I'm pretty sure I accidentally invoke Siri at least 7458 times each day....
-
Not to mention the horrible bugginess. I've had multiple TB units be totally unreliable, frequently showing just a black bar.
-
totally agree about accidental input. So annoying.
-
-
I'm surprised with Apple's force touch and accidental touch recognition on iOS that the "brushed" input issue wasn't solved?
-
That said, will the new flexibility of the touch bar eventually outweigh the inflexibility of the fixed keys?
-
-
@Taylor_M_Allen Also, physical feedback.
