    I might have bought a new MacBook. http://www.marco.org/2015/05/19/mistake-one … I might have hated it.

        @marcoarment Wait, so you only used it a day? Couldn't you have figured out you don't like the trackpad/keyboard in store...?

      2. Marco Arment ‏@marcoarment 20 May 2015

        @AronT I played with it a lot in the stores since its release. Every time, I liked it more.

        @marcoarment I guess I'm confused because you started out saying you wanted an iPad Pro but then your main gripe is that it's not a 15" rMBP

      5. Marco Arment ‏@marcoarment 20 May 2015

        @AronT That’s not accurate.

        @marcoarment Maybe I just misunderstood what you were getting at... It just seems like a needlessly rushed timeline to post a review.

        @marcoarment how long/how much did you type on it before you decided you hate it?

        @alvaradoangel A day and a lot.

        @marcoarment Did your 15” pro get creaky when you pick it up? Mine is very creaky after only a year of use; otherwise like-new condition

        @cozyumbrella Nope.

        @marcoarment Without the Force Touch, do you feel like the 13" MB Pro w/Retina is the best Mac option right now? Least tradeoffs IMO

      2. Marco Arment ‏@marcoarment 19 May 2015

        @damanr It's a good machine, but the 15 isn't that much more money or weight, and offers substantial gains in power and screen space.

        @marcoarment That makes sense. Agree with you re:Keyboard One.Hope it doesn't become standard, hurt my fingers in the limited time I used it

        @marcoarment w.r.t. the trackpad: are your issues tied specifically to the "click"? asking as someone who uses tap-to-click exclusively.

        @chafir Yes.

        @marcoarment thanks. i've used an MBP with a broken trackpad click for years, so i guess my stockholm syndrome will save me this time.

        @marcoarment If last year’s MBP-r isn’t that different from the 2012 model, why upgrade? To get 16 GB of RAM?

        @jcscaliger 16 GB of RAM, more efficient CPU than mine, another year of warranty, and a brand new battery.

      4. jcscaliger ‏@jcscaliger 20 May 2015

        @marcoarment This year’s MBP-r includes faster flash than last year’s right? It isn’t completely clear — last year’s also claimed more speed
