@marcoarment The 1-year OS lifecycle is showing all its limits and I think Apple knows it, but they don't know how to stretch it.
I’m not looking forward to OS X 10.11 or iOS 9 — I’m afraid of the bugs they’ll bring and the basic functions they’ll render unreliable.

@mikhailt … extensions that allow better integration between apps, so both OSes are now mature enough not to need a yearly update cycle!0 retweets 0 likes -
@cdf1982 Unfortunately, it’s the worst time to do it because both OSes have too many issues. If they focus on issuing more bug fix updates..0 retweets 0 likes -
@mikhailt sure, my tweet wasn't clear, I meant that no new version next year would be acceptable, but updates for bugfixes are needed0 retweets 0 likes -
@cdf1982 Oh, gotcha. Yea, stability/optimization updates like Snow Leopard are badly needed for both iOS/OS X platforms.0 retweets 0 likes -

@marcoarment Lets hope Apple reads developer feedback and makes 2015 a Snow Leopard year.1 retweet 3 likes - View other replies

@JoshHrach They won’t. Marketing is driving the release schedule, and marketing needs constant new features.0 retweets 3 likes - View other replies

@marcoarment Maybe marketing should sit down and write those new features while the engineering teams focus on what can be released.0 retweets 0 likes

@marcoarment 10.11 will probably make our 2013 devices really slow and unusable. Yosemity nearly did it this year :/0 retweets 2 likes -
@pawelorzech@marcoarment and the worst thing is that we don’t really have any real alternative. Because what - Linux? Windows? Really?9 retweets 20 likes - View other replies

@marcoarment I hope they see the slow adoption rates as a sign, but until they start losing money, nothing will change. By then too late.7 retweets 11 likes - View other replies

@applejosh@marcoarment@marcoarment Bugs etc a definite problem, but why would incremental features/updates help them?0 retweets 0 likes -
@WaltFrench@marcoarment Not a matter of limiting new features but putting more time in QA and not being driven by marketing timetable.0 retweets 0 likes

@marcoarment For the first time this year I’ve had relatives ask if they should really upgrade their iPhones. /cc@Alternate19852 retweets 6 likes - View other replies
