@marcoarment I managed a replacement for my seriously bent iPhone 6 today. They did make it clear it was not a normal warranty repair
Reports from a few people: Apple is no longer replacing bent phones, even with no obvious mistreatment, by order from above a few days ago.

@marcoarment this should not be the norm. Apples own visual mechanical inspection guides still mention warranty replacement of bent phones. -
@marcoarment I got AppleCare+ on my 6+ since I figured if it did bend I could get it replaced for $80. -
@marcoarment FWIW, this is in-line with what Apple regards as official policy. Was more than likely a limited customer service exception.
