Tried two Anker USB-C hubs and both cause MCA ( Machine Check Architecture Error Dumps ) when running in BootCamp. 2017 rMBP 15”.

I don't think it's impossible, I think Apple hasn't sold it well. Hardly any devices need tb speed; there's no reason not to have 10 ports.
