In Canada those books are commonplace. But our regulatory regime is relatively toothless with regard to non-lawyers. Not sure that it is an issue of constitutionality, or if they just fall below the prosecutorial threshold of public interest, or if the disclaimers hold...
Different questions, but quite entangled in this context. It was once considered reasonable to prohibit do-it-yourself form books on the ground that they constituted unauthorized practice.
