weird that the whole literature on persuasive technology is ignored until the very last few sentences, when it should surely be at the core as a set of frameworks (e.g. around HCI) that have studied this for decades...

Thank you very much for your comment. Persuasion is primarily about 'changing minds' (i.e., attitude change; see the elaboration likelihood model), whereas nudging is more about 'changing context' (i.e., the choice architecture).
