@YouTube @TeamYouTube genuine question: why can i have a minimised screen playing youtube while i use other apps in the US but not the UK?
And how on earth is that implemented?
I am using a samsung a5 2017 but i noticed it on my old phone and assumed i'd messed up... but this last trip confirms it. In the US i can navigate to and use other apps and youtube becomes a teeny video display i can move about the screen. In the UK it just goes to background.

Understood. Picture-in-picture is currently available in the U.S. on Android mobile devices running Android version 8.0 Oreo or above.

So how does it change? Is it the timezone? Because my LOCATION was switched off while i was there to prevent a massive data bill. I am genuinely fascinated by how regional differences can be implemented by the same app!
