That pin shorting device is the only thing that's of interest as I don't have a 3D printer, nor have a broken joycon, nor want to mess with paperclips every time. I won't mind sending someone $5 Canadian to send me one in a bubble wrap envelope a la the Vita2SD adapters.

Personally not going to give any money to anyone, but IMHO u missed the point here. What people are going to pay for (if this is not BS) is the code for a CF and piracy enabled on it, not at all the piece of plastic which, as you said, is doable in a DIY fashion.
