The same old boot loop/failure to start issue? My 5X died like that too, but a friend had a working one he didn't use so I managed to transfer the data and I'm still using that. :/

yep! I guess I could have tried harder to salvage it, but I just really don't want to risk it dying again when I'm on a trip or something

My battery is in an increasingly terrible state so I've thought about upgrading, but the Pixel is EOL'ed and the Pixel 2 lacks a headphone jack and that's a big no-no... I'm kind of hoping Treble gets good enough this year to make non-Google phones a good option.

I tried reflowing mine with a hot air station, but it only temporary fixed it long enough to rescue the data. Further reflow eventually killed it.
