This kind of pattern of descent into the undesirable is one of the reasons why fail0verflow is run as a tight-knit group of friends and we hack for fun. We've managed to survive 10 years. Even then, we're not entirely drama-free. An ex-member was involved in several incidents.https://twitter.com/daeken/status/989676736760688643 …

Folks have been asking why I'm exiting ReSwitched and console hacking in general. Did a pretty extensive (though not complete) explanation here: https://daeken.svbtle.com/the-console-hacking-community-is-a-dumpster-fire …

Openness is great, but the world is sadly full of assholes. Back in the Wii/Twiizers days, we had a few outer tiers (e.g. a group of originally HBC betatesters, later really just a bunch of trusted Wii devs) and managed to mostly avoid leaks. Pick your friends carefully.

You mean like this? https://pastebin.com/t4bJkdBU  Rings any bell? That's the very bug your team's name came from, just saying. Feels fun to trust people eh? I guess to Sven CCC glory felt sweeter. If only he had asked I wouldn't have minded at all, I don't need the exposure.

I won't talk more about this because I hate the drama, on a sidenote, where do you think all those Internal updates + ldrs came (read leaked) from eh? Just my last 2 cents.

Domain Name: http://fail0verflow.com  Creation Date: 2010-01-03T14:24:42Z But hey, if the delusion that "your" bug is where our team name came from despite the domain being registered a whole year before the PS3 talk makes you feel important, by all means keep having it :-)

Oh! And incidentally I did share that bug to Sven almost 2 years before the CCC talk. So the domain being created a year prior doesn't mean a thing. Now I am done talking about this. I just felt you out of all people had a right to know who you were "working" with.

Dude, what are you smoking. 2 years before the CCC talk nobody was doing anything with the PS3. That was Console Hacking 2008, about the Wii. All the interesting PS3 stuff happened in 2010 (geohot glitch, OtherOS removal, PSJailbreak, ECDSA Epic Fail). Check your memory.

We had beta ldrs decrypted in that timeframe, because it wasn't public and you weren't exposed to it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

That's great; allow me to doubt your version of the events when you were the source of much drama in the PS3 days. As for the people you're badmouthing, I'm sitting here staring at tons of commit logs of the work they did. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
