It’d be great to have a Thing™ that runs on reboot during update cycles, waits x seconds for you to ssh back in, and if you don’t, it reverts all updates and reboots again. Should be easy enough to throw together a bash script for on nixos, but it’s been on my todo list a while.
Isn't it great when you think "I'll update some servers, worst case I fix some broken services" and narrowly avoid being locked out entirely due to an OpenSSH regression. Changed my mind: not touching anything else today.
