Ha, this is so Japanese. I finally went to the tax office to ask them about this mysterious evil twin of mine who hasn't paid his taxes. 15 minutes later the lady comes back apologizing profusely. It's all fixed.

I once had to explain that too, because my previous company had cut my name so you had truncated-me who paid but did not exist, and fullname-me who existed but did not pay -> a bit tricky to resolve, had to get a manager
