Works fine in mozc/Google Japanese Input (where konnichiwa doesn't, of course; it's either what the sign says or konnnichiwa).

heh, macOS's doesn't handle it, but if you type "konnichiha" it'll convert to こんにちは (after initially giving you こんいちは) anything with "wa" doesn't work, though

Oh, good point, I wasn't even thinking about the "was" part. That needs to be "ha" of course.
