So, apparently @saleae implemented live viewing in their newest beta software? being able to watch the logic captures come in and decode in real time is /awesome/.

That's a Wii, pre homebrw days (2007). I was messing with the A/V encoder, trying to get VGA-compatible output. Turns out it's impossible due to dumb logic in the chip (you *can* get 480pRGB output, but without any sync pulses, due to an "AND" that should've been an "OR").pic.twitter.com/CDFmiFdqB1

IIRC normal mode is 480iYPbPr (sync on Y) + composite. 480p mode disables composite. RGB SCART mode spits out 480iRGB with no sync + composite (SCART uses composite for sync). Enabling both gives you 480pRGB but no composite... and thus no sync.
