Has anyone ever made an LCD TV fast enough that it works with Duck Hunt? If latency is the only problem, there is no *fundamental* reason why an LCD processor cannot be really, really fast. Certainly ~2-3 lines of lag should be achievable.

any idea if this works on more advanced light guns? (like the Super Scope 6, or the Sega Menacer, which look for the phosphors getting hit by the electron beam)

It should; this actually uses the video signal to control the LED directly, so it emulates a scanning beam.
