      Could be. I'm just surprised it'd get that negative of a reaction. I know it's a stupid old meme, I'm just having trouble finding a significant association with that particular undesirable segment of society.

      Are baseball caps uncool now, or is the design just too close to a Trump campaign ad? At some point it's a feedback loop, isn't it? If reasonable people concede usage of $whatever to undesirables, then it exacerbates the problem.

      Not just uncool, impractical. If the brim isn't perfectly aligned it does nothing to keep the sun out of your face. And it won't stop your neck from getting burned either.       I should point out that where I live I get swastikas all over the place; these two are literally a few meters from my house. Though at least they point the other way. Cultural symbols are complicated... Even Google gives you a *backwards* Nazi flag when you search for swastika 😞pic.twitter.com/unKfCU6jKK

      It's a sacred symbol in Buddhism and also officially codified as the map icon for Buddhist temples in Japan.

      I'm just trying to point out that the mention of swastikas very early in this thread is a great example of the extreme cultural differences in symbolism. What's a Nazi symbol in the US is a completely innocuous daily occurrence in Japan.
